Walls

One room, one single room would be enough, don't you think?
Four walls with no windows or doors, just the two of us.
We wouldn't know starve or thirst, our bodies would just live with light and darkness. It would be a room so lost, that the hand of time could not touch it as it is full of fear for the unknown.
She told him about this nonsense, and he believed in it,because he believed in her.
This was a place of impossibility, but he was ready to make this word fade away.
He started running, full of joy.Foolish creature, trusted the idea of a limitless mind, but he did not know how this mechanism works.Soon he was walking, and his face looked at the ground. The ground was laughing at him,but he didn't know,so he kept doing what he just learned: believing.
Soon he stopped, and so did she.
She wasn't smiling anymore, looking at what she did.She blamed herself for creating a walking mess,by planting the dream of an idiot,in and idiot's head.
He wasn't smiling anymore either, looking at what he did.He blamed himself for stealing her beautiful smile.
She failed.
He failed.
They failed at a simple task, that they knew best: making each other smile.
All they have left are sad souls and a big wall between them.
